Wycliffe is a “congregationally governed” church meaning it is run by the members. Members meet in a church members’ meeting several times a year, and issues regarding the business of the church are referred to and voted on at this meeting. Wycliffe Baptist Church is also a registered charity, and in practice the day to day management of the church is entrusted to the body of trustees, comprising the Church Council (Pastors, Elders and Deacons).
We encourage those regularly attending Wycliffe to become members and take an active role in the life of the church. The Bible models this for us, encouraging us to live in community with one another and working with the Elders and Deacons to see Christ served through our church.
