Come and join us in the park by the river as we enjoy a free and fun family day out. The aim of the festival is to create an opportunity where Reading churches, new Hong Kong arrivals and the local community can come together, have fun and build friendship and community! Invite your friends and neighbours, bring a picnic and come connect with the local community! Sign up here for free:

There will be a Ceilidh, live music, a postcode sports day competition (sack race, space hoppers race, tug of war etc), Hong Kong and UK crafts (jubilee bunting making, Chinese calligraphy), face painting, balloon modelling, giant garden games (like giant Jenga, lawn croquet, Connect4) and much more!

This festival is being organised by Wycliffe’s Coffee & Craft and Reading Chinese Christian Church (RCCC). We have also partnered with UKHK, who are running another 8 festivals are running across the UK (including London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol).

Pray – Thank God for this opportunity and his provision for us to welcome the stranger and care for those in need at such a time as this. Please pray that the festival will be a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and build friendship. Please pray this will bless Reading churches who are already doing so much to love and support new Hong Kong arrivals.
