It’s good to pray together! So, what better time to pray than at the outset of a new year?
We start 2014 with a week of prayer, running from 1st to 7th January.
Wed. 1st January 2-3.30pm
You are invited to join a Prayer walk around our community seeking divine inspiration for how to pray for the individuals, schools and businesses who live and work around Wycliffe
Thurs. 2nd: 6 – 7.30pm
We hope to discover and build confidence in learning to pray together – across generations – we start with a bring and share meal before equipping ourselves with ways to engage in prayer for the Wycliffe plan for the year ahead
Fri. 3rd: 7.30 -8.30pm
Our youth will be communicating the reality of being a young person outworking their faith in today’s world and their heart for transformation
Sat. 4th: 8am breakfast / 9am prayer
This is an opportunity to uphold our mission partners, their families and their organisations in prayer and to see how their work fits with the Wycliffe plan for this year. It starts with breakfast at 8am. Prayer is 9 -10.00am
Sun. 5th …watch this space… we’ll be praying in our services at the very least.
Mon. 6th 7.30 – 9pm
Come and listen to the sound of the master’s voice as we lay our plans and questions before him – we only want to be doing what the master is telling us to do. (That’s God, not Graeme, in case you wondered.)
Tues. 7th: 7.30 -9pm
We will be praying for the nit and grit of life – the places, relationships and challenges where the rubber hits the road – we will be recording our desires for the coming year where we seek God’s kingdom to reign in our lives and the communities at home, work and in our neighbourhoods.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Ephesians 6:18)
